Best Luxury Hot Spring in La Fortuna
If you’re looking to relax at one of the best hot springs in La Fortuna, then spending a day at the Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa should definitely be on your itinerary. This tropical paradise, located in the luscious jungle, is fed by five different hot springs. The naturally heated, and mineralized water, will leave you feeling fresh and relaxed.
Cost of entry (day pass): $71 + tax for adults / $34 + tax for children
Staying at the resort is also possible. If you decide to book a night, access to the hot springs will be included. If two people or more, booking a night might be more interesting (price wise).
Best Mid-Range Hot Springs in La Fortuna
Located 4.7 km outside of La Fortuna, Baldi Hot Springs is one of the best mid-range hot springs in the area. With 25 thermal pools, and temperatures ranging from 93°F to 152°F, there’s something for everyone!
If you decide to stay at the Baldi Resort & Spa you can have unlimited access to the thermal pools

Best Intimate Hot Spring in La Fortuna
An entirely natural hot spring, EcoTermales if located a little over 5km outside of La Fortuna in the heart of the rainforest.
EcoTermales has 6 smaller pools, with temperatures ranging from 99° F to 106° F. Two freshwater pools are available as well.
EcoTermales is perfect for you if you want to assure you won’t be with too many other people. This Hot Spring only allows 80 guests per-day.

Best Budget Friendly Hot Spring in La Fortuna
Termales Les Laureles
If you’re looking for a more affordable hot spring experience, then you can visit Los Laureles Hot Spring. With seven thermal pools, and two cold water pools, you can still have a great hot spring experience while on a budget.

Best Free Hot Spring in La Fortuna
Hot River
If you’re travelling on a budget and still want a relaxing dip in a hot spring, I can recommend heading out to the Hot River. It’s easy to get to if you are traveling with a vehicle, however by foot its more difficult to access.
There is no official parking, so you will have to park on the side of the road. There will be locals claiming that you need to pay for parking, but this is a donation-based system.
The river access is fairly close to the road and no long hikes in are required. The area is clean and you’ll likely see others enjoying this special spot as well.
Bathing suits are required (at least during the day ) and the area is family friendly.
